(PEMF Mat Therapy for Dogs & Cats)
Increased Energy, Mobility, Vitality and HEALING for your (furry family members) dogs, cats and other pets!
What does BEMER Therapy do for pets?
The Bemer vascular therapy method improves circulation in animals using all-natural, alternative techniques. Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field Therapy uses a Bemer device to send electromagnetic waves following pulsed electromagnetic fields in your pet. This increases the amount of oxygen and nutrients supplied throughout your pet’s body. It can improve the pet’s healing processes, while also boosting their immune system to help them combat illness. You can also use Bemer Therapy to suppress inflammation and pain in your pet.
The Bemer method can be used for a diversity of reasons, mainly focused on pain relief and healing. If your dog, for instance, is suffering from arthritis, you can increase the circulation of its blood. This can decrease inflammation and relieve joint pain. Additionally, Bemer therapy is very effective in treating age-related conditions in your pet.
How does PEMF work?
The BEMER PEMF mat is placed on the floor and your dog lays on it for about 15 minutes. The mat has coils that create an electromagnetic field that improves the micro circulation and blood flow. There is also an applicator that can be applied to a specific problem area your dog or cat may have after they become acclimated to the mat. Dogs & cats are encouraged with petting and gentle praise to lay on the mat, but you should not force them to stay. The majority of pets settle into the mat within minutes and sleep or rest quietly for the duration of the application.
What does BEMER feel like to your pet?
The experience of the BEMER PEMF mat application differs from user to user. Some humans experience a light feeling of warmth or a tingling sensation. Most feel noticeably relaxed and invigorated after the application. After, dogs become very relaxed and have to be woken up when the session is completed.
What results can be expected from BEMER PEMF sessions for dogs & cats?
Dogs and cats who receive BEMER therapy will have increased mobility, energy and vitality. Owners report that the dogs are “more perky,” more energetic at the dog park and have improved movement and use of the hind legs. In humans, it is reported that they have enhanced concentration, mental acuity and stress reduction, improved sleep, endurance and strength.
The PEMF therapy has shown drastic improvement for older pets with mobility issues due to age or injury.
Are there any side effects with PEMF?
Above all, no dangerous side effects have been detected with short or long-term application.
Are there any contraindications to the BEMER PEMF Therapy?
Dogs who are currently undergoing chemotherapy should not use the PEMF mats.
Can PEMF Therapy cure a disease?
PEMF Therapy is not a disease-specific application. Its effect on the circulation and the resulting improvements to the supply and removal of substances to/from the body’s cells allows these cells to produce and supply increasing amounts of energy, and therefore carry out their tasks (production) in a more functional manner.
How quickly will the dogs show results?
Some dogs show improvements in 2 to 3 treatments but most will take up to 8 weeks to reach maximal results. In humans with severe disease states, it can take up to 8 weeks to start to see results.
What about medications my dog is taking?
Every dog is different in how they will respond to the BEMER PEMF mat and their medications. You should talk with your veterinarian about your dog’s medications as the BEMER applications progress and discuss together dosages and frequency of medications.
How often does my dog need treatments?
Initially dogs should use the PEMF treatment at least three times a week for the first 1 to 3 weeks depending on response, then it can gradually be reduced to one to two times weekly.
However, in humans the application is recommended daily, which can be difficult for some dog owners, so we recommend it as frequently as you are able. For dogs that have recently undergone surgery or dentistry, a daily treatment for the first week can improve recovery time.
Please note: BEMER PEMF Therapy is not intended to replace treatment by an experienced veterinarian. Talk to your veterinarian about when and how to incorporate BEMER mat into your pets routine.

PEMF for Dogs: Ease Pain, Speed Healing, and Reduce Inflammation in the Comfort of Home
By Brandy Arnold Posted on Apr 15, 2019
When your dog suffers from pain, arthritis, joint disease, or even from allergies, you’ll do anything to help them feel better. Now, it’s easy to ease pain and inflammation from the comfort of home using PEMF for dogs.
PEMF, or pulsed electromagnetic field, therapy has been used for decades to aid in healing broken bones, spinal injuries, and arthritis in racehorses. And, more recently in treating fractures, healing fusions, and easing arthritis pain in humans. Now, our furriest family members are benefiting from the safe and effective treatment to aid in a wide array of ailments.
As in humans, PEMF therapies can be used for a variety of conditions. Because the electromagnetic fields activate Nitric Oxide, a molecule that promotes healing, this therapy aids in boosting cellular metabolism and oxygenation of the tissues, nerves, and muscles. In fact, because of their accelerated metabolism, pets tend to respond even more quickly and dramatically to PEMFs.
Canine conditions that are very responsive to PEMFs include arthritis, injuries, wound healing, cancers, circulatory disease, fractures, spinal cord injuries, allergies, aging, and more, often resulting in reducing or eliminating the need for potentially harmful medications, yet perfectly harmless and safe enough to use in conjunction with traditional treatments.
In 2010, researchers at the University of Bologna in Italy conducted a study on the affects of PEMF therapy on dogs with osteoarthritis. Only halfway through the study, a majority of the dogs studied had already shown dramatic improvements to mobility and pain using PEMF treatment. Most amazingly, these benefits lasted without the use of any anti-inflammatory drugs. Researchers concluded that “PEMF is a non-invasive remedy, lacking in adverse effect, easy to employ, and useful for controlling pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis.”
